About me

Hey! My name is Ted Wang, but if you really want to, you can call me by my legal name, Wei Shi Wang (王伟诗). I am a Canadian but originally from Wuhan, China. I grew up in Montreal and went back to Wuhan for high school when I was 12. I currently work as a Software Engineer at TikTok / Bytedance in Mountain View, California. I used to live in Vancouver and work as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Prior to my time in AWS, I worked in the autonomous vehicle at Huawei Noah’s Ark Lab and Cerence Technologies.

I have obtained a B.Eng in Honours Mechanical Engineering and Minor in Computer Science at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. During my undergraduate study, I was very research-oriented and worked on intelligent systems, control theory, robotics, and machine learning.

When I am not writing code, you will probably find me playing basketball and tennis, swimming, or lifting weights.
